Jeans Techniques Workshop - Learn tricks so that the jeans you make look like you bought them!

The first step in jeans making is learning how to make the details so the jeans will look professionally made.  This workshop will explain and practice each portion of the jeans construction so that when you do make a pair of jeans the outcome will be satisfying by looking like you purchased them.  At the end of the workshop you will have made samples of each step in the process of jeans construction.  

This is another one of our Plano American Sewing Guild homegrown workshops so the price couldn't be better!  

Here are the workshop details:

  • Date :   Saturday, August 25 or Thursday, August 30 (Choose One - Content will be the same on each date)

  • Time: - 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. (You will need to bring a lunch)

  • Cost (including kit fee):  ASG Member $20    Non-member $70 

If you are not an ASG member, for the same price, you can join ASG and pay the member workshop price.  This way you get all the benefits of ASG and the workshop.

  • You bring:  sewing machine  with basic sewing supplies*

  • general purpose thread

  • two spools light colored general purpose thread or topstitching thread

  • Universal sewing machine needles, size 12 and 14

  • Hammer,  mallet, and a hole making device* for inserting rivets

*Before the workshop a more detailed email will be sent explaining supplies needed

Your kit will have fabric, jeans making supplies, and handouts needed for the class.

More instructions will be provided to participants in advance of the workshop to assist with supply selections.  Class is limited to 8 people, so don't wait to sign up!

Cancellation policy

Cancellations will be refunded less the $5 processing fee until 1 week prior to workshop start time.  After that date, no refunds can be given.
